A walk without a point
Purposely parked further away to give me time to think after my shift.
I had meant to listen to something to help the shift pass faster but I couldn’t bring myself to choose any songs so ended up with silence instead.
Things noticed, in no particular order:
- The smell of rain arriving before the rain.
- The leaves crunching underfoot soon-to-be mush.
- The homeless encampment has been cleaned away.
- My car alone on the street, everyone else long since gone.
Nothing happened, really. I got home a bit later than usual. Put the kettle on. Forgot what I’d been trying to work out before I left.
A good walk but nothing achieved.
Leave a small sign that you were here.
